The Annual Rydell Car and Bike Show

The Rydell Annual Charity Benefit Car & Bike Show is a time for our "family" here at Rydell to get with you and your family and do something for our community. Each year, the Rydell employees vote on a local charity that will be the beneficiary of our charity event. 100% of all money donated at the show goes to that charity including a Rydell company match of up to $40,000! No money is taken out to cover the expenses of the show.

Rydell was honored to present a check to the Jason Stadstad Youth Boosters for $77,800.64. These proceeds were from the 17th Annual Rydell Charity Car & Bike Show. This brings our total over the years to an outstanding $1,054,245.80. We would like to thank all our employees, guests, sponsors, recipients and community for making this happen, we are so proud! #Rydell1Team

Angels On Wheels

This was a special day at Rydell. We were honored to host the second annual Angels on Wheels.

Forged from a partnership between Rydell and CVIC , the program supports individuals who are receiving services through CVIC and for whom transportation has been a barrier to achieving stability and self-sufficiency. To give CVIC clients the best possible chance at rebuilding their lives after violence, we worked with CVIC to match clients identified as needing transportation with appropriate vehicles. Recipients were chosen by CVIC.

Angels on Wheels includes a donation from Rydell of 12 pre-owned vehicles. Donated vehicles are chosen based on family size and client needs. Everyone at Rydell is extremely grateful to Northdale Oil Inc. and Safe Kids Grand Forks who also participated in this year's event. Northdale Oil generously donated a $200 gas card to each recipient. Safe Kids was on-site to provide car seats and car seat education to those who needed them. Organizations like these are what make our community great.

We want to thank everyone who helped put on this event, and we hope the recipients enjoy their new rides.

Veterans Memorial Park

Rydell was proud and honored to be a part of this great project, The Grand Forks Veterans Memorial Park. Our 13th Annual Rydell Car Show was used in part to help kick off a community-wide campaign for this much-needed and deserved project..

The community of Grand Forks and beyond supported and valued this worthwhile project and will be a must-visit when in Grand Forks.

Through community philanthropy and the tireless work of local veterans and the VMP Committee, the Veterans Memorial Park was built as an outdoor gathering place for veterans, military members, families, and community members to celebrate, recognize, remember, and honor the lives of those who are serving or have served in the United States Military.

A Walk of Honor stones path was created to help recognize all who have served, Memorial Stones are still available and a great way to support the park.

Skate Park Project

Rydell of Grand Forks was pleased and proud to use our Rydell Car & Bike Show Charity Benefit to help in part sponsor the Rydell Skate Park Project in Grand Forks.

The Skate Park Project came in many phases, starting with the relocation of the old wooden ramps, to Phase 1 at Karnowski Park, and Phase 2 expansion of the newly built park.

Rydell was proud to help to fundraise and promote all levels, including the New Rydell Skate Park naming right.

This great project could not have happened without some great contributions along the way. Thank you to the City of Grand Forks, Grand Forks Parks District, Spohnranch Skate Parks, GF Skate Park Alliance, Tony Hawk Foundation, AE2S, Wells Concrete, Rhombus Guys, Jerry Kotalik, Blackpoint Building Group, Hugos, Scheels, Engelstad foundation, the community of Grand Forks and so many more.

Little RED

Reading Bus

The Grand Forks Foundation for Education is excited to announce the establishment of "The Little Red Reading Bus", a mobile library that will make books available to children throughout our community when school is not in session, beginning in June 2016.

A library on wheels, the "The Little Red Reading Bus" aligns with the Grand Forks Public Schools RED (Read Every Day Program). The mission of RED is to inspire children to discover the joy of reading so it becomes a lifelong habit, and engage families and caregivers in their childs literacy development. The goal of "The Little Red Reading Bus" is to provide children access to a large variety of books, decrease summer reading loss, increase reading achievement, and provide a fun summer activity for children, one that promotes the love of reading.

The Little Red Reading Bus would like to thank Randy Sattler and his team at Rydell Cars for their time and talents! The talented Randy Lieberg from JLG Architects presented his design ideas for the interior of the bus. Also, we would like to thank Axalta Automotive Refinish for donating the paint for this project! We wouldn't be where we are today without the support from ALL of our community partners. Registration to receive a free little red reading bus library card is now open, visit www.readeveryday.org

2022 Classes for Expectant Parents - Bringing Home Baby presented by Safe Kids of Grand Forks, Altru and Rydellcars.com

Have you ever tried to install a car seat into a vehicle? Do you know how a newborn baby should be placed in their car seat? 4 out of 5 car seats are used incorrectly and we want to assure that you are transporting your "precious cargo" safely after your delivery.

Rydell of Grand Forks is working with Altru Health System and Safe Kids of Grand Forks to offer Bringing Home Baby. This class is designed for expectant parents or those of newborns. We would encourage you to take the class prior to your delivery. If you already have purchased a car seat, bring it along and we provide hands on training from a Certified Car Seat Technician on how to properly install the car seat into your vehicle.
