When one thinks of you City you almost always think of Streets, Sanitation, Services and Taxes. We are here to tell you that Grand Forks, North Dakota has so much more. Sure we have the all the normal issues that face all in today’s economy and we face those with meetings, town halls, information mailings and more, but we are proud of Grand Forks, North Dakota for the extra they provide.

Grand Forks has a multitude of programs that it assist with or oversees from our Green-ways, Grand Forks Parks and Recreation, Grand Forks Education, Economic Development, Planning and Zoning, Public Health, Historic Restoration, Housing, Law Enforcement, Chamber of Commerce, Grand Forks Library, Public Works, Streets, Sanitation, Fire Department, Business growth, Housing, Northlands Mission and Rescue, Events Center, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Downtown Development, Partnerships with the University of North Dakota and The Grand Forks Air force Base and much, much more. It’s a complicated and communicative process to be sure, but the City of Grand Forks through mailers, media, social media, meetings, handshakes and more seem to communicate to the citizens and keep them informed.

We have some great assets in Grand Forks for sure that include, The Red River, The Green-way, Many Parks, Youth Arenas, Schools, Facilities such as the Alerus Center, Flood Wall Protection, Multitude of Businesses, Home of the University of North Dakota, The Aerospace Center, The Ralph Engelstad Arena, Kings Walk Golf Course, Ulland and Apollo Softball/Baseball Parks, Empire Arts Theater, Chester Fritz Auditorium and much more.

Our City always seems to be there for us during the trying times, with snow removal, branch removal after storms, spring cleaning garbage pick up, fall leaves removal, area waste stations and more. They also do a great job with educational programs and training sessions when called upon to help make our city more safe and comfortable.

We do not want to forget the entertainment factor as well. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter we always seem to have a event to enjoy from Catfish Days, Fourth of July, Street Dances, Summer-fests, Movies in the Parks, Market Square, Farmers Market weekends, Art Festival, Sledding Hills, Ice Rinks, Ski Trails and more.

We are Proud and Happy to call this Home and, hats off to all in the City of Grand Forks who make this work! We love their motto “Live, Learn, Work, Play and Stay”
